Sand Art

Pentax FA 28-105 f/3.2-4.5 : f/4.5 : ISO - 100 : Shutter - 1/750 : black and white conversion

I took these three shots while at Port Bonython, South Australia. It was the first time I'd seen this design in the sand hills before even though I had been going here since I was a kid. I liked this design as a triptych as they compliment each other nicely but something about it does not quite fit, maybe the composition, angle or maybe even the scale.

Australian Trip - Whyalla: Views from Hummock Hill

Here's some shots taken from Hummock Hill in Whyalla, there's some interesting views of One Steel, the foreshore and and the old WW2 bunkers. I used the FA 28-105 which was good for long distance wide angle and the M-50 1.7 for in the bunker (low light) and better use of DOF.

Australian Trip - Port Bonython "The Shack" : Pt 1

My family own a beach house at Port Bonython and is a great getaway from the hustle and bustle of Whyalla...hahaha, just kidding, it's great just to get away from Whyalla!

I've been looking forward to taking photos out here with the K10D for a long and it was a lot of fun as theres lots nature, sand dunes, beaches and cool sunsets.
